Our love for ourselves is the strongest component for a good quality of life. Taking care of ourselves creates the conditions permitting us to be patient, keep our cool, stay calm and be better able to react to daily problems, obstacles and annoyances.
By boosting our love for ourselves we may better “walk” with others and give love.
By gifting ourselves a session of reflexology, we fill our body with a sense of who we are. We bring our love for ourselves to the fore. We support it, we accept it, we follow it. Taking care of ourselves paves the ground for success. It gives us the energy we need to dare and it makes us resilient, preventing our stress from affecting our performance. Caring and caressing ourselves is a source of applied wisdom.
We may start by doing something simple every day:
We reach for a moisturising and aromatic cream, preferably with ylang-ylang essential oil. We sit cross-legged, or in any other position that feels comfortable. We start by taking our toes one by one and moving them in a circle, gradually ending in an up-and-down motion. Roll your fingers gently from the part right behind the toes all the way to the end of the heel. Repeat. Join your palms and thumbs and make the fan movement, from inside out, then up and repeat.
This way stimulates your body from head to toe. The movements must be simple, gentle and caring. This will give you moments of serenity and relaxation. This is an excellent way to wake up your body and stimulate all your senses. This is the way to wake up our love for ourselves. What matters is our own dedication to the ideals of serenity and relaxation. Let us become lovers of serenity and care for ourselves. Let us give ourselves some room to relax. Give yourselves caresses, hugs and care. It is the most important gift of love.
